Sharona Shooshani

Sharona's journey began in Tehran, Iran, where her family relocated her to Israel and later to the United States during her early years. Despite initially aspiring to become a fashion designer, her passion shifted towards the theater and film industry. At the age of 25, she embarked on formal training in theater. Her breakthrough came at the Gene Frankel Theater, where she garnered attention for her portrayal of Gittel in William Gibson's play. Subsequently, she participated in Off-Broadway productions like "Grotesque Love Songs," "Savage in Limbo," and "Barefoot in the Park." Transitioning her focus to television and film, Sharona ventured into short films and independent features. Notably, she made appearances in "Sex and the City," an HBO series, and played a role in the ABC daytime serial "One Life to Live." Her diverse roles also include portraying the Iraqi Mother in "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn."
