Hayden Choate

Hayden Choate was born and raised in a small coastal New Hampshire town. He is of Cuban descent as his grandfather came to the United States from Havana in 1961. The other side of Hayden's family has deep roots in the Northeast, mainly in Massachusetts and New York. Hayden played the role of Eddie in the 2021 Short, "Moral Blindness" Hayden is currently a senior at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. A part of the theatre company on campus, he has been in plays throughout his college career. This includes playing Pleribo, Adraste and Prince Florilame in The Illusion, Frank in Witch and most recently, Damis in Tartuffe. As a Theatre minor, Hayden has spent a semester studying Shakespeare and other American classics. In addition to theatre, Hayden is also pursuing his a Journalism and English degree. Hayden writes for his school newspaper and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society. Hayden is no stranger to being on camera. He is part of the broadcast club at Springfield and also was part of the TV class in high school for 5 semesters. Growing up in a small New England town, Hayden has played ice hockey for the past 16 years. In high school he was a two-year captain of his varsity team and now still plays at Springfield at the club level competing in the ACHA. Hayden has lived by the beach in New Hampshire his whole life and developed a love for surfing when he was 8 years old. Hayden surfs year-round and has worked at a surf shop for the past seven years. Including giving surfing lessons and being named a retail manager of the shop when he was 20 years old. Aside from surfing and hockey, Hayden loves to ski, paddleboard, play tennis or write in his free time.
