Rene Bonét is a classic representation of nuance in R&B music, and her alter ego as Bully Barbé is sure to intrigue and astonish the Hip Hop scene. Drawing inspiration from artists like( Erykah Badu, Missy Elliot, Backyard Band & TLC),the DMV native made the move to Atlanta to explore her creativity. It is here that she was able to connect with Grammy award winning sound engineer and producer Alvin Speights, (Michael Jackson, Madonna, & Boyz II Men). While under his tutelage she gained priceless knowledge in the studio that would help her with her future in the music and entertainment industry. Her vocal style and song arrangements are sweet and lustful, pulling the listener in to hear the stories that she has gathered from her interactions with people from all over the world. Lyrically and in her delivery as a rapper she has carved out a pocket for herself that removes her from any competition. Being culturally diverse, she is able to collect and connect the emotions of different genres of music, making her own niche sound in the realm that is R&B and Hip Hop.
