Angie Hung

Angie was born in Hong Kong and is Chinese. She grew up in Canada and speaks perfect fluent English and can imitate a perfect Cantonese English accent. She identifies as LGBTQ+. She recently returned to acting after a 15 year break, a break where she enriched her life by dancing and performing on stage, and traveling around the world experiencing different countries and cultures. She is an experienced Toastmaster & public speaker, winning many senior level competitions. She loves public speaking if the message is positive, educational, and/or funny. Angie says about acting: It's one of the hardest jobs. Acting isn't about pretending, it's about being real and becoming the character using your own process that works best for you. And it's not glamorous. I'm excited and more importantly, I'm scared. And this shows how serious and passionate I am. I'm starting at the very beginning again. I'm female, Asian (Chinese), and LGBTQ+. Yes, I'd rather admit outright because I don't have anything and thus I have nothing to lose. I'd rather not worry about hiding. More importantly, I don't want to do any disservice to the LGBTQ+ community by perpetuating any type of "hidden shame". The more I'm freely myself, the more I can freely explore the characters I play.
