Rafik Latif Shaikh is a distinguished writer, director, and cinematographer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Born to renowned Director of Photography Latif Mangal, Rafik embarked on his cinematic career as an assistant cameraman in the 1989 film "Veer Bhimsen." Following this, he worked as an assistant cameraman alongside his father on numerous projects, including notable Hindi, Marathi, and Bollywood blockbusters such as Jeet (1996), Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya (1997), Soldier (1998), Baadshah (1999), and Madam Don (1999). Transitioning to the Gujarati film industry, Rafik served as a 2nd unit cameraman on films such as Pankhida-O-Pankhida, Mahisagar Ne Aarey, Man Sayba Ni Mediye, and Parshuram. His independent work in the Gujarati film industry includes notable projects like Maiyar Ma Mandu Nathi Lagthu (2001), which earned him the Best Cinematography Award from the Gujarat Government, and Mandawda Ropawo Mana Raaj (2005), Maiyar Ma Mandu Nathi Lagthu (2008), Mara Rudiye Rangana Tame Sajna, Bewafa Pardesi, Radha Tara Vina Gamtu Nathi, and Vishwas (The Faith). Rafik has also contributed to the cinema with films like Patna Se Pakistan (2015) "Mokamma 0 kilometer- Mokama 0 KM (2016), his involvement extends to projects under Priyanka Chopra's Purple Pebble Pictures produced by Priyanka Chopra Madhu Chopra "Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi (2016)" and other production's film Mehandi Laga Ke Rakhna (2017). As a writer and director, Rafik made his debut with the film "Maai Babuji Ke Aashirwad" and contributed to the story and screenplay of the film Shubh Lagan.
