Christopher Ian Barry

Christopher Ian Barry was born in Liverpool, England on November 4th 1982. He is of Irish descent on both parents side. Chris began music and acting at an early age. Chris attended T.S. Indefatigable as a teenager where he learned drums in the school band and first became interested in music and acting. Later Chris and his family emigrated to Canada. In Canada Chris wrote and toured with award winning indie-rock group The Strange. In Canada Chris was involved in some community theatre as well as extra work in features such as Dead before Dawn 3D. Later Chris moved to China where he worked regularly in the Chinese film and TV industry, featuring in such productions as, Chang Jin Hu, Floating Youth, 13 Factories in Guangzhou, and China Ping Pong. Chris also formed critically acclaimed Celtic-punk group Grass Mud Horse whilst in Cbina. Chris plays many instruments such as guitar, drums, bass, tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle and sings. As of October 2022 Chris resides in Ontario Canada with his daughter Saoirse.
