Dean Michaels is an American actor, born on October 2, 1977, in Richmond, Va. He grew up in Lynchburg, Va., the son of John, a dentist, and Mary, a dental assistant. Dean has two brothers, Paul and Anthony. Dean initially had a lukewarm interest in acting early in life but instead gravitated towards music, taking on roles as singer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer in various musical outfits over the past 30 years. He is currently singer, guitarist, and main songwriter for Washington D.C.-based band, Novarium, with which he has released one album and one EP. Dean has also substituted on guitar for American band, While Heaven Wept (Nuclear Blast Records). Dean moved to the Washington D.C.-area to pursue additional employment and educational opportunities, where he studied Criminal Justice, Communications, and Law. He is also a practitioner of Jiu Jitsu and has firearms proficiency. Although still active in musical endeavors, Dean decided to seriously pursue acting under the instruction of actress and producer, Cheryl Felicia Rhoades in Northern Virginia and has working steadily ever since. Dean has worked on the HULU series, "Dopesick", the HBO series, "We Own This City", and the Netflix movie, "Rustin" among others. Dean resides in the Washington D.C. area with his wife, Meredith, and three children.
