Aïcha Morin-Baldé is a Montreal-based director, assistant director and script supervisor. After completing her studies in Film & Communications at Dawson College, she immediately started working as a production coordinator at St Laurent TV. At the same time, she also began producing and directing her own projects including a series of interviews with black female artists called Té Ki and also directing her first music video. In 2021, she directs her first short film Knots, which explores the complexities of black women's relationship with their natural hair and the stigmas surrounding it. The film is shown throughout Canada, including at the Toronto Black Film Festival and Montreal Black Film Festival. A few months later, she directs her 2nd short film called Nourrir Les Rêves (Bell Media), which premieres at Hot Docs International Film Festival.
