Ugur Orkide

He was born in Izmir in 1977. The artist, who continued his primary and secondary school education in Izmir, spent his high school period in various processes such as Anatolian high school and industrial vocational high school. Finally, he graduated from Izmir Karsiyaka High School. Discovering his ability to draw at a very young age, the artist would direct his art life by transitioning from painting to sculpture with his interest in metal in the following years. His interest in the welding machine, which caught his eye in a plumbing workshop he went to in 1989, caused him to discover the machine by tampering with it and to meet with metal for the first time. In the following years, he started to do internship with Nusret Veryeri, who is a mechanical engineer. During his internship, the artist, who carried out studies and research on the design, production, analysis, development and raw materials of mechanical products, also acquired a mechanical engineering discipline that offers analytical solutions to problems on mechanical materials.
