Kristin Woodworth-Owen (nickname: KO), was born Kristin Woodworth on May 31, 1979 (43) in Daytona Beach, FL to Bruce Woodworth; an artist and writer who served in the Navy during Vietnam, and Pamela Silva; a wood sculptor and painter. Kristin became a notable child artist starting in her primary school days, catching the attention of local news outlets in her hometown. As a teen, Kristin attended high school with a focus in video production, art, and theater acting. She once again gained local media attention when she created and edited together the first full-length cartoon ever made by a high school student, while enrolled in a video production course. In college, she majored in art, video production, and community theater; participating in many productions as not only a set designer, but also an actress, flexing her wide-range of artistic skills. She is an accomplished poet with several award-winning published works, and a new poetry book set to launch this year. She is also a photographer (inducted into The Photo Laureates Hall of Fame in 2000). Her other talents include cartooning and as such, she wrote and illustrated acclaimed equine cartoon book, 'The Grass Is Always Greener... a collection of Kirby & Clyde cartoons,' available on Amazon and Amazon/Kindle. Most recently she has written a western screenplay entitled; 'Canyon of the Damned' copyright 2021 which is gaining traction in several national screenplay contests.
