Elle Rodriquez

Maria Eleanor Rodriguez also known as Elle Rodriguez is a Filipino-Canadian actress known for her work in the films "Seph and Danny were here" and "The Art of Quiet". Both are Canadian short films shot in 2019. In 2020, Elle was in five (5) episodes of the longest running TV series in the Philippines called "FPJ'S Ang Probinsyano" where she appeared as the lawyer of one of the main characters, General Borja (Lolo Delfin). Her first TV guesting in the Philippines was in the popular TV series "Kadenang Ginto" in December 2019 where she played the Surgeon in one episode. The very first film she appeared on was "Sariwa" where she played the role of the lead actress' "Olivia Ortiz" best friend. Recently, she did voiceover work in the short film "Karagatan" where she was the voice of the "mom" of the main character Diana. Elle completed several acting workshops. The first was in August 2019 with Canadian Actor Livingstone Beaumont. She also trained in the Philippines from November 2019 to March 2020 with Star Magic Acting workshop under the mentorship of Ms. Carla Martinez and Director Rahyan Carlos. She also completed the AB Masterclass acting workshop under the tutelage of the award winning actress Ms. Angeli Bayani. Elle completed a conservatory program in September 2021 at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where she was mentored by some of the finest acting teachers in the U.S., actress Sharon Angela of the Sopranos and actor Dig Wayne. Elle also completed a scriptwriting workshop in 2020 under the Philippine Director/Screenwriter Denies O'Hara. Fun fact about Elle: She is a lawyer in Canada and the Philippines. She became a lawyer in the Philippines in 1995 and had been a practicing Criminal lawyer in Canada from 2007 to 2019. She finally decided to set aside her law profession and follow her passion for acting in October 2019. She continues to be a lawyer in both countries but she has taken a leave of absence from her law practice. She wants to focus on her acting career and is set on becoming a working actor in Hollywood.
