Joe Evans is a documentary filmmaker and executive producer for IFA Media, one of Asia's premier production companies. Based in Singapore, he has spent more than 10 years developing and directing films across the region. Joe is the creator and director of Netflix's Midnight Asia, a 6-episode documentary series exploring the vibrant night-time worlds of Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei and Mumbai. Joe's other films include The World Behind The Teenage Psychic for HBO Asia, National Winner for Best Direction (Non-Fiction, Taiwan) at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, and Once a Refugee, a CNA series revealing the life stories of former refugees in Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Japan. Joe was born in Swansea, Wales. He is a graduate of the International Film School of Wales. Joe's films has been recognised by the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Asian Television Awards, New York TV & Film Festivals, Sichuan Television Awards and World Media Festivals.
