John Goodwin

Born September 26, 1964 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to abusive parents. In his early teens John's sister was removed from the home after authorities found her covered in bruises and after leaping from a balcony to escape an attack, John spent the next few years in and out of foster homes. John learned quickly to be creative, adaptable and to roll with the punches. In high school John's guidance counselor, Mrs. Thomas, told him there was nothing he couldn't do and he would be successful at anything he set his mind to. John has spent his life exploring the limits of what Mrs. Thomas told him. In the 1980's, John met Fay Simms who he later married. They are still married and best friends to this day. John is best defined by his need for authenticity and his need to explore his own limits. He becomes fully immersed in anything he embarks on and strives to test his limits with each new endeavor. This has led to an incredibly diverse resume of study and achievement well beyond the norm. Today John lives north of Toronto with his wife, two dogs, "Tigger", who is already a credited actor and "Bear", the newest addition to the family and his African Grey Parrot, "Willow" whose been talking up a storm since she was 8 months. John's nurturing nature and authenticity also find expression through his efforts in advanced dog training and he takes great joy in the achievements of his beloved pets. To this day, John has yet to prove Mrs. Thomas wrong.
