Ben Poppy's first play 'Lady Palladium' was the opening performance for the Bohemian Balcony, a brand new theatre space back in November of 2016. Selling out both of its performances. Ben's second play 'The Justice Equation' was co-written and co-directed with Seb Wolfe back in April of 2017, and won a festival award for technical creativity. The play was a dystopian courtroom drama blending film with theatre and made the audience the jury. It received good reviews and sold out its performances. Ben is also a poet. His first collection of poetry 'Machine Tongue' was published in the winter of 2019, before being followed up by his second collection 'We Are Frankenstein' in June of 2021. His work has been included in many anthologies, one of which being 'The Drum Keeps Pounding'. A collection of poetry including specially commissioned works from original beat poets Michael Horovitz, and original Merry Prankster Ken Babbs. The book also contains work from Dan Ritcher, the organizer of the 1965 Royal Albert Hall poetry incarnation, and the actor behind Moonwatcher in Kubrick's seminal 2001. Ben wrote and co-directed/produced the award winning short film 'Prey' (Based on his play of the same name) in 2021, and it has now been playing at various festivals throughout 2022.
