American actor Amelia Webster Anderson aka Amelia Anderson was born and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in Detroit, Amelia's father, Robert Anderson, was a popular on-camera, on-air broadcast journalist for local Television networks. Her mother, Leslie, has always been an artistic soul, whose artwork has been seen in many meaningful creative spaces and mediums. She nurtured, encouraged, and costume designed several of Amelia's early theatrical performances, and still serves as Amelia's main source of inspiration. Amelia also has two older siblings, Oscar and Patrick, who she adores. At a young age, Amelia felt called to the creative arts. She found a love connection to acting when she was 8 years old, and began performing at her local community theatre. As she would often be considered shy offstage -- acting offered her a safe space to creatively express her true emotions. Amelia immersed herself into the art form, and was heavily involved in local and school theatre programs from elementary throughout her high school formative years. Some notable renditions where Amelia presented stand out performances include "The Nutcracker", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Cinderella", and "The Velveteen Rabbit". Shortly after graduating from Dondero High School, her acting career took a backseat, as she pursued higher education, while working as a Makeup Artist. However, Amelia was never far from a television or film set as she regularly did makeup for local TV, film and commercial shoots. As a young adult, Amelia found herself in an opportunity to be in a local TV commercial as a principal on camera talent. The passion, inspiration and excitement she felt from this role made her realize how much she missed the art form of acting. Shortly thereafter, Amelia attended an inner growth retreat known as the Hoffman Process. At the end of the week-long journey into self=discovery, she had complete clarity that her heart was calling her back to her craft. Since then, Amelia has been working on commercials, TV and film projects. Developing both her craft and career in an authentic, organic, meaningful way. She is currently studying with renowned actor/coach BoJesse Christopher at BoJesse Christopher Acting Studio. With an inspired heart, Amelia is currently living in Los Angeles, CA and pursuing her TV and film career.
