Matheus Severo (he/him) is a passionate Brazilian actor and singer based in Vancouver, BC. Graduated from the Studio 58 Acting program in 2021, he is honored to have trained, worked and lived on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations since 2018. Before honing his skills at Studio 58, Matheus worked as a singer on a cruise ship, and had a thriving musical theatre career which took him all over Brazil and around the world. During his time in Vancouver, he has collaborated with theatre companies such as Carousel Theatre, rice & beans theatre and Zee Zee Theatre, and also trod the boards in The Cultch and National Theatre School's festivals. In 2021, Matheus started his career in film and TV on the upcoming Netflix show The Midnight Club. In 2022, he was nominated for Outstanding Performance at the 39th Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards for his work in "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls" by CTYP. Matheus is eager to build his career in North America and give voice to the underrepresented Latinx narratives.
