David Laferrière is a Canadian actor, musician and singer. Born and raised in Québec, he also lives in Barcelona, Spain. In 2018, David traveled to India and learned the sitar in Varanasi with his teacher, Dhruv Nath Mishra. The next year, in Tiruvannamalai, South India, he met Jessica Walker of the experimental Spanish theater school Laboratorio Escuela, which led him to begin his studies under her direction in Barcelona in 2019. While creating and interpreting theater plays, he founded the music band The Magic Carpet with Santiago Krahn in Sitges, mixing sounds and rhythms of Shamanic, Indian and African traditions. In Barcelona, David played in two experimental movies directed by Hector Faver : "Noche de Espejos" and "Las Luces". He played in "A man of Action" directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera and the biographical movie "Miro" directed by Oriol Ferrer. In 2021, he performed as an actor for the theatre and circus company CircOliva at the annual art festival of Barcelona La Mercè. He also has been the voice of Adrien Favre in the fiction podcast series "Blum".
