Ed Munter

Ed Munter is an award-winning composer, singer-songwriter, screenwriter, director, and producer. He works at the intersection of music and film, creating original music-driven narrative film content. Starting out in the field of advertising, he won 26 Clio's for musical composition as the musical director for a creative team. During that period, he performed his original music in several bands and released 6 solo albums of his original songs. He began creating long-form narrative music works, writing and producing musicals for the stage. His work in film began when his screenplay for a musical thriller feature was optioned by Michael Douglas for Stonebridge Entertainment. His original screenplay & music for the sci-fi musical feature film, Rebel In a Modern Age, won an Award of Excellence from the New York Los Angeles Film Festival and Best Screenplay award from the Global Film Festival Awards. His current musical film project is The Peaceful Revolution: a comprehensive work that includes a completed 12-part series, a completed narrative feature film, and an original soundtrack. Focusing his skills on a singular vision, Ed has written, composed, directed, and produced this award-winning series of musical commentaries, The Peaceful Revolution. It is a vision quest along the back roads of our contemporary landscape led by a central character who appears as a cross between a country philosopher, an urban poet, and a modern troubadour, exploring humanistic solutions to contemporary social issues. This series has won Best Series in the Global Film Festival Awards. Based on the series, the award-winning companion feature film, The Peaceful Revolution: Journey To Freedom, is an impressionistic narrative that tells the origin story of the central character. This feature screened at Dreamachine International Film Festival (2021), winning Best Musical Performance & won Best Sound. It won Best Feature in the Global Film Festival (2021), Honorable mention in Milan Gold Awards (2021), and Best Indie Feature from the 8 & Halfilm Festival in Rome, Italy (2022).
