Ashley Baker

Ashley Baker, or better known as her stage name AshtheArtist, is a Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, and Actress from Hagerstown, MD. Music has always played a role in her life, starting in kindergarten with talent shows, contests, and eventually leading up to teen idol in her early adolescence years. Some of her biggest influences in music are J Cole, Drake, Dave East, Jhene Aiko and Lauryn Hill. Ash is the perfect blend of r&b and lyrical hip hop, bringing her fans a truly unique sound. Ash has began doing shows up and down the east coast, including shows at Club Oxygen (Baltimore), Club Charm (Baltimore), Grind City (Pittsburg), The Ottobar (Baltimore), Mainstage Morgantown (Morgantown, WV), Grand Piano Ballroom (Hagerstown MD) and has opened for artists such as 2 Live Crew, Afroman, and Grammy nominated Lyfe Jennings. In addition to live performances, Ash has also performed in the live rock opera "RENT" at the Maryland Theatre once in early 2019 and again in 2021. In addition to her role in music, Ash is an advocate and pioneer for Lyme disease research having been diagnosed herself May 2018. Ash has been featured in multiple documentaries, including recently released, "The Quiet Epidemic" and larger still is her role in "I'm Not Crazy, I'm Sick" feature documentary which has been recognized by Forbes, Variety, and more recently Today.She hopes to bring awareness to the disease through her music and speeches. Ash is off to a great start and the sky is truly the limit with the talent she brings to the table.
