Dominie Apeles is an actress and performer. She has hosted segments for leading educational platforms, danced at major venues in Los Angeles, and appeared on TV in newscasts and cultural performances. Dominie has also been featured on the podcasts StoryCorps from NPR and Asian Americana, the publications Where Travel Los Angeles and Asian Journal, and the books We Heart L.A. Parks and The Auntie Sewing Squad Guide to Mask Making, Radical Care, and Racial Justice. And her short doc about her grandfather, "Fighting for My Family: My Lolo's Story," screened during the 2020 L.A. Asian Pacific Film Festival.
