Mark Ortega

Born in Oakland, California. Grew up a fan of professional wrestling and boxing. Started writing about boxing as a freelancer for various blogs in 2008. Worked for NFL Media as a digital content producer for three years before moving over to the television side in 2018 with a job at FOX Sports as a researcher and writer for Inside PBC Boxing -- a magazine-style studio show about boxing in the PBC sphere. Later wrote for FOX Sports' WWE Backstage studio show and has contributed to FOX Sports' boxing pay-per-view programming in a multitude of ways, from envisioning features, writing scripts for talent, and more. Began archival producing for various WWE documentaries for A&E in 2022.
