Wade Banner was born in Colorado Springs to military parents. After his birth, his family returned to the Bronx, New York before moving to North Carolina where Wade grew up in Durham. He developed a love for the arts after attending R.N. Harris Elementary School. The school was a magnet school concentrated on Integrated Arts where Wade was introduced to the violin and theater. By 6th grade, he switched to the trumpet. Always musically inclined, Wade Banner became popular for rapping in school. He formed a rap group with his friends, wrote raps in class and sold mixtapes in the hallways. In High School, Wade took theater classes and was able to snag leading roles in the school's productions. Between music and theater, he was named Senior Superlative, Most Talented. Wade Banner attended North Carolina Central University as a Double Major in Theater and Mass Communication. While attending school, he stayed focused on his career aspirations and dropped out after landing an On-Air position at Radio One Raleigh's WQOK. Being a personality led to becoming an award-winning DJ and Wade became a staple in Raleigh/Durham, spinning on the radio, in nightclubs, and major concerts as well as producing his own records. After 11 years as a personality/DJ, relocated to Atlanta to build as a DJ and pursue an acting career.
