Jorge Salinas began his career in gospel television working for,the now defunct, Heartland television production company. While employed, he worked as production director, audio for video engineer, producer of faith-based content, editor and satellite broadcast engineer from 1983 through 2002. Starting in the Dallas, Texas area, he began as the assistant sound reinforcement engineer for televangelist R.W. Shambach - eventually moving on to different aspects of television production with Heritage USA. Creating broadcast content for televangelists such as: Jesse Duplantis, John Osteen, John Hagee,Jim Baker and many others, Jorge Salinas would leave the Dallas area, after the portion of the company he worked for was sold to the Trinity Broadcast Network. In the 1990's, he would work for Texas televangelist Carlos Ortiz building TV stations and creating content for local and international satellite broadcast until 2002, when he left television altogether. In 2016, he would return to television as producer/director of the short-lived Crucifix Mixed Martial arts show. In 2017, he would become vice president of Orale Television productions creating broadcast content and motion graphics for Hero Fighting Championships and JC Fight promotions. During this time, he would also be responsible for the parent company Charlie Clark Nissan car commercials. He would leave Orale Television to form Jsphotographix, a media company centered around photography. He is, as of 2019, the owner of L&J Films, which creates mostly gospel content but does do occasional secular work so long as his tag of "the views expressed in this film do not necessarily reflect those of Jorge Salinas - a born again Christian" is contractually included.
