Theodros Teshome, the owner and founder of Sebastopol Entertainment and Teddy Studio, is known as one of the premier Ethiopian filmmakers in Ethiopia. Theodros has solidified his position amongst the elite by releasing films that are pertinent to the Ethiopian social consciousness. His first film, "Kezkaza Welafgn" the first feature film to ever be released and produced by an Ethiopian in Ethiopia, touched on the sensitive issue of HIV/AIDS. Subsequent films produced by Theodros have touched on various issues such as the Red Terror and Immigration from Ethiopia. It should be noted that Theodros not only produces films, but also writes, directs, and acts in his films. The only film Theodros has not appeared in is "Kezkaza Welafen". Aside from his reputation as a leading Ethiopian filmmaker, Theodros Teshome has a solid reputation as a charitable fund raiser and donor. Theodros raised over 1.1 billion birr ($58.8 million) for the Amhara Development Association and 107 million birr ($6.3 million) for the City of Jimma, through his personally led telethons on national television. Theodros has also participated in raising funds for Mary Joy and other various charitable causes around Ethiopia. As of this submission, Theodros is working on converting his current cinema halls in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia into a Fine Arts Center and Film College, the latter to be the first anywhere in Ethiopia. Concerning films, Theodros is in the weaning stages of shooting his latest theatrical release, "Triangle" - a film that will span three continents and deal with the issue of illegal immigration to America.
