Jordan Ray Allen began his screenwriting journey in 2002 at the age of 17 and spent the remainder of the decade honing his craft, prematurely knocking on agency doors, and mastering in the art of rejection. By 2011, the cinematic landscape shifted and affordable DSLR cameras were seen as gifts from "The Film Gods". So began his journey as a writer-director. He gained film festival recognition domestically and abroad for the 80s-esque 'Murphy's Law: The Real-Fake Trailer' and 'Red Handed', a love letter to the film noir genre, which took home "Best Short" at the 2013 Cape Fear Independent Film Festival and "Best Actress" at the Innovative Film Festival the same year. By 2017, he achieved semi-finalist status after entering the one page synopsis for a feature called 'Melting Ice: A Tale of Cruci-Fiction' into a competition hosted by legendary director Robert Rodriguez, who was in search of filmmakers for his docu-series 'Rebel Without A Crew'. Today, Jordan has an eclectic range of short form content (Fiction/Non-Fiction) available online, and prides himself on being an "offbeat" writer-director, given his distinct style that strays from the conventional. Partial evidence can be found in his retro-future music-film, called 'Turn Up The Volume'. Last but not least, he is also a musician. As quoted when describing his retro-future soundtrack called The Space Between Dreams and Reality, "It's tedious having to describe one's own art, but I equally believe in never cheating The People. So, to reluctantly satisfy any inquiring minds, I can only describe this album as a musical "messiah baby" birthed by a nostalgic holy trinity of Tangerine Dream, Boards Of Canada, and Public Domain Films in a parallel realm decorated with retro-futuristic Art Deco."
