Vivienne Powell was born in Sydney, Australia, to an Australian mother and an English father. She holds a Master of Creative Arts from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and has undertaken acting studies at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, the Howard Fine Acting Studio and Ted Brunetti Studio in Los Angeles. Vivienne has acted and sung on stage and screen in Australia and the US. Her first television role was as Mark Twain's Mother in 'Predictions, Premonitions and Dreams Come True', for the Seven Network in Sydney. She has performed as an opera singer with Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House, and is an experienced classical concert artist, as well as a musical theatre and cabaret performer. She performed her solo cabaret show, 'Sentimental Journey with Doris, Ella & Julie' in Sydney in 2012. Now based in Los Angeles, Vivienne performed the role of Elizabeth in a stage production of 'Voices of the Un-Heard', at the Barnsdall Theater in Hollywood. Film work includes the lead role of Carla in the short film, 'Song From a Blackbird' (selected for the Court Métrage, Cannes International Film Festival 2014) and The Grim Nurse in 'The Good Life'. Also in 2013, she was cast in principal roles in two independent feature films, the embittered Mrs Maple in 'Ugly Benny' (selected for screening at the 2014 Berlin Film Festival), and the cold-blooded British killer, Victoria, in 'Beautiful Destroyer'.
