Originally named after Christopher Lee's "Dracula", Australian Horror filmmaker Chris Sun made his feature debut in the industry with "Come and Get Me" in 2010 (Distributed by "Camp Motion Pictures USA"). The controversial film caused a stir in independent genre festivals and in 2012, he released his second feature "Daddy's Little Girl" (Distributed by "Eagle Entertainment Australia," "Breaking Glass Pictures USA" and others internationally) which shot him into the international horror limelight. The film received numerous accolades, including "Grand Jury Prizes", "Best Director", "Best Screenplay" along with many more awards around globe. In 2014, Chris Sun aligned with US sales agent "Shoreline Entertainment" for representation and to release his third feature "Charlie's Farm", which starred Tara Reid, American horror icons Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder, and "Mad max Fury Roads" Nathan Jones. The film hit cinemas in November of 2014, and is being distributed by in Australia and internationally in many countries. Chris Sun has becoming a household name in the horror world, as he relies on practical special effects rather than CGI to create his leading villains; both man and beast. The technical difficulty adds more production value to his projects and his current film about a monster pig "Boar" is a testament to it, with almost 85% of the story utilising practical effects. Boar is being distributed by "Universal Pictures Australia" and in talks with other major distribution companies across the world. Boar will be released in 2017 and some say its one the most anticipated Monster films to come out of Australia in a long time. Chris has also written a Novel called "ED". For a man who has never read a book this was an amazing accomplishment. ED is published by American company Source Point Press and distributed worldwide through book stores, online and download platforms. ED is described as "50 Shades of Grey, Meets Ed Gein". Although Chris has a passion for Horror, blood and guts, he is looking start a new direction with his career in the coming years directing different genres and showing off his talent as an up and coming writer/director.
