As a Cincinnati, Ohio native, April Spry has been acting in community & High School theatrical productions as well as student films since the age of 5. In High School, Spry studied Meisner at The University of Cincinnati's prestigious College Conservatory of Music, graduating in 2004 with a Certificate in acting. Afterward, she continued her education at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio as a Theatre major for one year before transferring to a private acting conservatory - The American Musical & Dramatic Academy's Los Angeles Campus in 2005. There, she studied acting for the camera & stage combat. In 2010, April enrolled at The Margie Haber studios, studying under Zac Barnett, who has since gone onto open his own studio. In 2014, April relocated to Atlanta and continued her study of Meisner under Rob Mello of The Robert Mello Studios. She has also studied & performed improv for 15 years at various schools including I.O. West & Monkey Butler. During her time in LA, April acted in several student & independent films. In 2011, April landed her first big part as the lead in an episode of TLC's nationally broadcast show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant". In the spring of 2012, April wrapped filming on her webseries "All About April", in which she starred, co-wrote, & produced. In the Summer of 2012, April wrapped filming for an acting tour in which she traveled to 50 states in 50 days to shoot 50 short films. Spry joined SAG-AFTRA in 2012, and most recently wrapped filming for the indie feature "The New Hire" just after which she relocated to San Antonio, TX and continues to pursue acting full time.
