Bavand Karim

Bavand Karim is an Iranian-American multimedia artist from Dallas, Texas. His creative work spans print media, studio art, music, television, and film. Karim is the creator and producer of original films and TV programs including the award-winning documentaries Hate Crimes in the Heartland, and Nation of Exiles. Karim is the CEO of the independent production studio Be Positive Pictures, and serves as a producer for the Emmy-winning production company Lioness Media Arts. He is an Assistant Professor in the Visual & Media Arts program at Emerson College in Boston. Karim is a graduate of the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.
