Emily Ramsay is a producer and production manager from Ottawa, ON Canada. She is a graduate of the Algonquin College Scriptwriting program and also holds a B.A. in Canadian History from Concordia University. She began making short form films and docs in 2010, moving into short form branded videos in 2015. In 2016 she was a recipient of the CMPA (Canadian Media Producers Association) Ontario Production mentorship, working on two seasons on Hard Rock Medical (TVO/APTN) with Distinct Features, gaining thorough knowledge from pre to post production as Producer's Assistant. She's continued to work in the production offices for several TV movies and producing short films including The Depths, winning Best Artistic Direction at the Lady Filmmaker's Festival, Beverly Hills, and the award winning short film/cine-poem Primary Colours featuring poet-artist Roua Aljied, selected at 32 films festival around the world and winning Best Micro-short at the Social Justice Film Festival, Seattle, WA. In 2017 was the Production Manager on the bilingual feature film Pur Laine, directed by Alexander Cruz and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, also the Co-Producer for Morgana McKenzie's bilingual short film Wild (Indomptable). In 2018 she created and produced the 6-part documentary series Vs.: Women in Combat Sports with her company Obscura Creative, focusing on amateur female combat sports and martial arts athletes in Ottawa and Gatineau for Bell Fibe.
