James Douglas comes from a family of creative talent in music and acting. James was born and spent his early years in Texas being raised by his Grandma. He picked up and played his first instrument, the saxophone in high school. James relocated to Los Angeles in his early teens with his radio D.J., musician mom when his Grandma could no longer tend to him. James was captivated by and drawn to the music world of his mom and family, quickly picking up, learning guitar, keyboard, any instrument to play his own music. James' early performing days found him playing in intimate coffeehouse after coffeehouse, with various bands, to finally being pursued to become and relocate to Albuquerque as a songwriter, front man, lead singer & namesake of 6-time JDS Grammy considered - The James Douglas Show (JDS) for over 12 years James wrote, recorded and performed the autobiographical "Garden City" song of his Texas childhood for and with The James Douglas Show band as well as wrote, recorded the JDS' last hit song "Wonderfully" inspired from the love of his artistic wife. The hard working, songwriter, recording & performing artist is excited on writing, recording, finishing mixing music for his 1st solo album - self titled James Douglas! His friend Pocket Honore, one of Los Angeles top 5 guitarists, music director for Jada Pinkett Smith's (Will Smith's wife) heavy metal band Wicked Wisdom, left his home in Los Angeles and took time out from his busy life to work with James on his new album. James will be adding to his already rich music career by following his dream of studying, training and working to become an accomplished actor.
