Tina Makharadze is a Georgian filmmaker, actor and multidisciplinary artist based in New York. Tina received professional acting training at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University where from she graduated with BFA in Theatre Arts. Tina gained massive popularity in Georgia for the title role in Gogona Gareubnidan, a Georgian franchise of Ugly Betty TV series, after which she played another lead role in an illustrious Georgian TV show, My Wife's Girlfriends. Tina is regarded as one of the most talked about women in Georgia due to her social activism that had a profound impact on altering norms and taboos in Georgian patriarchal society. In 2017, Tina earned a generous scholarship that fully financed her graduate study and subsequently, moved to New York. She resides in Manhattan, pursuing her MFA in film directing at Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
