Phillip Russell is an editor, cinematographer and producer who works as the Production Coordinator and Post Manager on truTV's Impractical Jokers: Inside Jokes, and the Post Supervisor on HGTV's 100 Day Dream Home and Lil Jon Want's to do What? and their repack shows, 100 Day Dream Home: Up for the Count and Lil Jon Wants to do What? After Party. He has held this position at NorthSouth Productions since 2017, and has contributed to other television shows produced by the company including Impractical Jokers, Impractical Jokers After Party, Discovery+'s House Haunters, and more. Phil also runs multi-award winning video production company, Thursday Shoots LLC, along with Tom Capps, Kevin Etherson, and Michael Mercadante. The group was founded in 2011 and incorporated in 2018. Their works have been featured on truTV, Above Average, Funny or Die, UCB Comedy, CollegeHumor, Huffington Post, Fast Company, Buzzfeed, Splitsider, IFC, and more. He studied the art of cinematography under the personal tutelage of Sol Negrin, ASC and Alec Hirschfeld while attending school at Five Towns College, which he graduated from in 2013. He also has experience working in film education; at Five Towns he worked as both as a Professor and Operations Manager of the Film/Video division after graduating before moving on to more directly peruse his film-making career with Thursday Shoots and NorthSouth Productions.
