Amjad Tadros is both an entrepreneur and award-winning investigative journalist. He has successfully founded and managed more than half a dozen regional businesses in the diverse fields of media, communications, advertising, food, and security and logistics. He is the point person in the Middle East for CBS News, managing the network's coverage and operations in the region since 1990. In 2001, he was awarded an Emmy in Investigative Journalism. In 2007, he received an Alfred Dupont Award for excellence by the University of Columbia in New York. He is also a co-recipient of the Peabody award in 2008. In 1992, he founded Action Global Communications - Jordan, the country's first public relations firm. In 2003, he founded Diyar Outdoor, Iraq's leading outdoor advertising company, which boasts a presence in fourteen cities across the country. In 2006, he founded ShooFeeTV, the first digital television guide for the Arab World. ShooFeeTV was launched in 2008 on the web, and quickly expanded its program listings to newspapers, IPTV and mobile devices. Hundreds of Arabic satellite channels are now centralized into one hub where Arabic-speakers can finally figure out what is on television and when. The television guide business was later acquired by What's on India. In 2013, he co-founded Syria Direct, a non-profit media and training organization covering the Syrian civil war by providing an impartial news and training aspiring Syrian journalists. Amjad Tadros holds an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology at the University of London. He is also a member of the inaugural class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative at the Aspen Institute and serves as a mentor at Oasis 500 and Endeavor Jordan.
