Evans Briceño is a Writer/Director. He was Born in Caracas, Venezuela (January 1971). Learned his craft in the cradle of the Advertising Industry. He started as copywriter in Leo Burnet, working his way up to Creative Vice-president of McCann-Erickson advertising. He earned numerous awards and international recognition for his outstanding work for the small screen, but nevertheless, at the turn of the Century, Evans decided leave the world of Ad Agencies to start a journey that would bring him closer to his true passion: Storytelling. Since, he has been active directing short features for commercial purposes and directing his own original stories. Evans Briceño is also know as a VFX Supervisor for feature films and received multiple Awards in the Advertising and film Industry: Cannes, Clio, New York Festivals, Promax BDA, Goya, among others. His Short Film "Aida" which has been on several national and international festivals in countries such as France, Ireland, Brazil, Peru and US. has been recognized as the best venezuelan short Film of 2012-13. and was selected for the "Short film Corner" in Cannes 2012. More recently, he won the prize as "Best short film" in thé 15th Edition of the "Rencontres du Cinéma Sud-Ameicain" festival in Marseille, France 2013. It also was screening at the Chicago Film Festival 2014.
