Fabian Valdez (pronounced F-ah-b-ih-'ah-n Vahl-des) is a Filmmaker and Art Director based in Texas. He is a film industry professional whose resume spans large-scale feature films, television shows, commercials and independent films. He has worked on union-level feature films and television shows such as David Gordon Green's "Manglehorn" starring Al Pacino and John Ridley's "American Crime". He also Art Directed the upcoming independent films "Infinity Baby" starring Nick Offerman and Kieran Culkin and AJ Edwards' "Friday's Child" starring Tye Sheridan and Imogen Poots, as well as having served as the Set Decorator on "7 Chinese Brothers" starring Jason Schwartzman. Feature Films that he has been involved in have gotten recognition at some of the major film festivals around the world such as Sundance, Berlinale, Toronto and Venice among others. For the last 4 consecutive years, Fabian has had the distinction of having at least one film playing at SXSW Film Festival. Commercials that he has worked on have also gotten recognized with Dick's Sporting Goods "Sports Matters" campaign winning the Grand Clio Prize. Filmmakers and artists of note that he has worked with include: Richard Linklater, Terrence Malick, David Gordon Green, Jason Reitman, acclaimed photographer Mikael Jansson and renowned street artist Shepard Fairey among others. His experience in the art, production, camera, casting, grip, editing, development, and distribution departments provides him with an adept understanding of film production, from concept to delivery.
