Lisa Newman

Lisa Newman grew up in Orange County, California. She has always had a love for acting, participating in school plays and drama classes. Her career began when she went to an open casting call for Disney at the age of 8. When her family moved to Australia, she went to a casting call for kid actors at Village Roadshow where the casting directors were impressed. After graduating high school at the age of 16, she started work on the Angelina Jolie film 'Unbroken' as a pedestrian and church goer. This solidified her love for acting and being on set. Lisa continued to work on her craft when in 2018 she was cast in the Netflix series 'Lunatics' as Becky's Dorky Friend appearing in four episodes. After the audition she felt overjoyed and went to Costco to get a frozen mango, fruity drink. In 2019 she secured an extra part as a Tourist in the ABC television series 'Reef Break'. As well as taking a Pilot Season course with acting coach Kristina Sexton and Ben Parkinson at Village Roadshow Studios. During the pandemic Lisa has been continuing to improve her craft.
