Jesse Haskell is a comedian, actor, and documentary film producer. Haskell was a successful stand-up comedian working clubs mostly in New York and Connecticut in 2002. He quit comedy in 2003 for "mental health reasons" then began acting in films. Haskell formed the film production company Party Pictures that produced the controversial feature documentary "Birth of a Party". The film centered around three Tea Party activists (including Haskell) who travel to New Orleans for a political convention. "Birth of a Party" premiered in Cambridge Massachusetts in April 2011 and was well received. However, due to the drug use and threats of lawsuits by the films participants distribution companies declined to release the film.
