Jason is an Arkansas-based actor who is known for playing disturbed, eccentric and sometimes psychotic or manic characters. He received his first experiences on a professional film sets as a featured extra in Disney's "The Ernest Green Story" as well as "Stone Cold", both in the very early 90's. He then served in the United States Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom in the Intelligence field as a Cryptologist. He sustained a serious head injury during his tour and, unable to continue to his overseas duty station, received an honorable discharge. Jason stayed in Florida for some time after that where he began working as a nightclub DJ, and worked during MTV's Spring Break shoot at Club La Vela (1996). Shortly afterward he relocated back to Arkansas and held managerial positions in the retail and construction sectors before opening his own board and card game retail business in 2001. Around 2011, Jason's passion to act was reignited and he took a very small role in a local feature ("Anyone"). That simple role created a sort of snowball effect, and Jason found himself involved with locally produced features and shorts with increasing frequency. In 2014 he was awarded "Best Actor" for his portrayal of a mentally challenged janitor in the 48 Hour Film "Now You See Me". His team went on to win "Best Film" for two consecutive years in the Little Rock 48 Hour Film Project, while he continued to seek out bigger and better projects and more in-depth training. Jason has performed recently on stage in productions of "Wait Until Dark", "A Streetcar Named Desire" and "A Christmas Carol". As of November 2020 Jason's resume has expanded to include over 30 projects including a leading role in "A Streetcar Named Desire" (Stanley Kowalski), a YouTube project with the NukaZooka team that has garnered over 6 million views, several lead and supporting roles in short and feature-length films, and he recently completed filming the lead in a digital recreation of the Dinkheller slaying for use in a virtual training environment for law enforcement.
