Originally from the Netherlands, Ronja Jansz moved to Los Angeles in 2010 where she successfully completed her first degree in Film Studies at Santa Monica College in 2012. During her time at SMC, she wrote, produced and directed three short films: "Annabel Lee", "Valerie" and Exposé, along with four videos for the Milano International Film Festival. She additionally produced the school's first music video "Falling Like Fools", spec commercial "You're It" and short film "Gay Over" in the Outset Program, as well as completed a full-time internship of 1.5 years at Twentieth Century Fox. After the completion of her internship, Ronja decided to pursue a second degree at SMC in Film Production and Journalism. She was hired as the school's Film Festival Coordinator and actively worked for the campus newspaper where she started out as the Health and Lifestyle Editor, continued as the Director of Multimedia and later became the Social Media Editor. With her journalistic work she has won two awards for her Team Feature project "Norma and Ruth", an award for her profile feature story "Trevor Pop's Chamber of Secrets" and two awards for her feature article "Journey Into Cuba: Inside The Legendary Island's Cities and Backlands". In 2015, she completed her degree and decided to broaden her horizon by applying to the prestigious University of Television and Film in Munich, Germany. She was admitted and will soon complete her specialization in Documentary Filmmaking and Television Journalism.
