Kieran Edward Harriman was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, the son of Jean Ruth (Aldridge) and Geoffrey Alan Harriman, a noted Industrial engineer. Kieran is one of 2 children. He has English, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry. Kieran is the only member of his family to follow a career in acting. He was educated at Cambridge International Collage in Witbank before going on to AFDA University in Gauteng where he studied Live Performance and obtained his BA. While in University Kieran went on to win the prestigious AFDA Award for Best Upcoming Actor in 2005. He went on to win 2 more AFDA awards in 2007: Best Actor for his lead role in Crystals and Clowns, and Best Supporting Actor for Loaded. In 2008 Kieran went on to star in the highly popular South African sitcom The Coconuts. His breakthrough television role on the Coconuts led Kieran to a starring role on the acclaimed South African soap opera Isidingo, portraying the role of McGregor. While on the show, Isidingo went on to win Best Ensemble cast at the South African Film and Television Awards two consecutive years. Kieran has since gone on to star in such television series as The Watchers as well as numerous theatrical performances and films.
