Aaron Kant

Aaron Kant was born in New Haven, Connecticut to his father Edward Kant, of German heritage, and his mother Elizabeth Kant, who is descended from English and Scottish ancestry. He has one older sister, Adrien Kant, a surgeon and graduate of Cornell University. Aaron is a drummer (started playing at age 9) and a pianist (started playing at age 6). Aaron records, performs, and tours with a diverse group of truly gifted artists and engineers/producers including: CeeLo Green (Gnarls Barkley, The Voice), Michael Stipe (REM), Patti Smith, Tom Dowd, (Atlantic Records), Scott Litt (Nirvana, REM), Peter Katis (Interpol, The National), Scott McCloud (Paramount Styles, GVSB), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Cyndi Lauper, The Warren Brothers, Tommy Stinson (The Replacements), Richard Fortus (Guns'N'Roses), Leona Naess, Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Joseph Arthur, James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Angela McCluskey, (telepopmusik), Mark Mulcahy, Rain Phoenix, papercranes, The Caulfield Sisters, The Philistines Jr., Jihae, Shivaree, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sean Eden (Luna) and many more. Aaron provides scores, sound design, mixing/mastering, production, and drums/percussion for popular artists, original music, commercials, shows, and feature films.
