Born and raised in Brisbane Australia, Curtis Clarke has, since graduating from University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama, been working as a professional actor for Film/Television in both Australia, and in North America. After extensive theatre training in Brisbane, under the tutelage of such teachers as Joss McWilliams (Coolangatta Gold), physical movement training with Hayden Spencer (Cirque du Solei), practical aesthetics training with Andrea Moore (one of only a few qualified teachers in AUS), Curtis furthered his studies (specifically acting for film) and ultimately his career, in Melbourne under Simone Buchanan (Hey Day, Neighbours) which lead him to land several roles on Australian television. After perfecting his American accent, Curtis moved to Vancouver where his career ascended and he began appearing in guest roles on hit shows for the ABC, The CW, Warner Brothers, NBC. Which allowed him to display his powerful range by giving stellar performances in everything from 1970s period dramas, Time travelling action adventures, horror/comedy shows, and even dipping a toe into the DC universe. As well as commercials for Sprint, PayPal, Domino's Pizza, and even voice-over work for Intel. While his output has been predominantly in front of the camera, Curtis has been writing (mainly fiction) for over a decade now, first by receiving a High Recommendation in the State Library Young Writers Awards, by being published in CQU Literary magazine Idiom 23, and most recently placing in a worldwide competition that's seen his short story being published by Owl Canyon Press in Colorado. Most recently Curtis has spent been perfecting his comedic timing as a Stand-Up in and around the city's comedy clubs, where his success is ever growing.
