British actor Andrew Futaishi was born Andrew Tsuyoshi Davies in Chertsey near London, to a Japanese mother and an English father. Futaishi attended RGS Guildford in Surrey, and studied Mathematics at the university level in Norwich before switching to the Drama degree. He went on to further hone his craft of at the London-based Poor School before setting up his own film companies A Winter Road and SandBox Journeys. He has appeared in a variety of English and Japanese productions including Tsuribaka nisshi 17 (2006), Tomoko (2015), The Ipanema File and Safeguard (2020).
