Jim Ankan Deka is a music composer and arranger, documentary film maker, producer and photographer from Guwahati, Assam (India). He is the son of Assamese littérateur and economist late Bhabananda Deka and writer Nalini Prava Deka. He has been composing Music for various short and documentary films, music albums, jingles, video Games and TV Series in an array of languages including Assamese, Hindi, English, Kannada, Nagamese, Mizo and Goalporia. In 2007 he single-handedly pioneered the ace Music Organization - Eastern Fare Music Foundation. The organization monitors a music institute called Eastern Fare Music Institution, 2 (two) music studios, a music club known as Eastern Fare Music Club and a production house known as Eastern Fare Productions. He is the first Assamese to ever commence and manage a full-fledged music institute, studio and a production house in Bangalore, India. Apart from Music, Jim Ankan enjoys Photography and Videography and has been involved in many projects. He is a current member of the International Press Association, Hazlet, New Jersey.
