Rodney Miguel Spencer, Jr. is a Brazilian American media proprietor, actor, television host, producer and journalist. Spencer was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rodney started off in entertainment and media at a young age, working as a print and fashion model for agencies in Miami, Florida and Chicago, Illinois. Before the age of 15, Spencer had modeled for more than 50 major retail campaigns including Macy's and J.C. Penney. In high school, Rodney discovered broadcasting and began working at a local television station on the weekends and hosting a daily radio show called, 'The Ride Home with Rodney' on WETL-FM radio. Spencer would later graduate from a magnet high school for the performing arts. In college, Spencer began his professional broadcasting career at NBC Universal. It was there he held positions at 'Today,' 'Dateline NBC' and 'Nightly News'. High profile interviews included Jeff Bridges and the late, Kobe Bryant. Spencer would also hold coveted roles at Warner Bros Entertainment and The Oprah Winfrey Network. Rodney began as a general on air assignment reporter with stints in Louisville, Kentucky and Miami, Florida. In 2017, Spencer joined the nationally syndicated show, "The List" (E.W. Scripps Co.). While with "The List," Spencer was an on air correspondent based in Phoenix, Arizona. Following "The List" Spencer would sign a two-year on air contract with a television station in Chicago, Illinois. Spencer holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree. He's a graduate of California State University, Northridge and the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2012, Spencer appeared in the short film, 'Everybody Haunts'.
