Daysi Marin is co-founder of Dream Film Studios and the Executive Producer of all of the major projects that are produced by the company. Outside of her position, she is very active in the community, holding several community-based positions, founding several organizations, and planning community events. Daysi first came to California in 1986 due to the civil war in her home country, El Salvador. After learning English and receiving a high school diploma, Daysi attended Los Angeles City College and received a degree in computer engineering. Daysi also attended a real estate trainer's school, where she obtained her license in California as well as in Utah. After a successful 14 years in those respective markets, she moved to the Houston area in 2011 where she founded Dream Films Studios. Since founding the company, Daysi Marin has 17 production credits from projects such as, "Left Turn" and "Beyond the Regime". Working alongside her husband Mauricio, Daysi has utilized her expertise in media and marketing to benefit her community outside of her day job. She is the current President for the Texas Democratic Women Harris Chapter, she founded the Houston Hispanic PAC, and sits on the Citizen Board for Constable 3 Nabil Shike's office. Additionally, she has partnered with organizations to host events, such as the Colombian Festival in Houston, Hispanic Heritage Festival and Dia del Salvadoreno Houston Festival that sold over 75,000 tickets. She has also been a Precinct Chair for 6 years and is a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar in Fort Bend County and Harris County, constantly encouraging civic engagement in the greater Houston area. Daysi Marin has been proud to have successfully accomplished her business goals, as well as having raised two wonderful children. The future is bright for this couple from separate parts of the world. They have come together to create and to live their dream, and the work does not stop here.
