Deborah has been a professional actor since her teens. She has an extensive theatrical resume and has won numbers accolades for her work on stage and off. This includes Carbonell Awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress; in addition to multiple Best Ensemble citations. She has also been honored with Best of Acting awards from the New Times in South Florida, where she resides. Deborah is well known for her realistic and raw portrayals of characters both on and off screen. She is a Colombian-Jew and originated the role of Conchita in the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Anna in the Tropics" by Nilo Cruz. Deborah was born in New York, raised in Texas and resides in Miami, Florida with her husband and two sons. She is also a voice-over artist and has created a myriad of characters both in cartoons and in the world of telenovela dubbing. Deborah studied theatre performance at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and also trained with the Big Apple Circus in New York City. She worked in their Clown Care Program for ten years doing humor therapy in children's hospitals as a clown nurse. Deborah is a seasoned improv performer; and has a long history of physical comedy and traditional clowning experience. She writes her own comedy in addition to plays, poetry and short stories. Deborah is fluent in Spanish and can also read Hebrew. She is represented by The Green Agency in Miami and LA.
