Nadia DiMofte

Talent Agent/Manager and Filmmaker with 12+ years' experience in North American film industry. Nadia got her start in the Film, TV, and Theatre industry back in 2005 in Europe by managing Raresh DiMofte's career (her husband, a professional actor). They immigrated to Canada in 2010 where Nadia started working on independent film projects and building her network of film & TV professionals. Nadia DiMofte is a writer with a Master's in Journalism. She wrote, directed & produced FRaiLNeSS, a short film that was part of the Short Film Corner section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2014, where she signed a Distribution Deal with Gonella Productions. Her second short iS THiS THe eND oF THe WoRLD? also screened at the Short Film Corner - Cannes 2015. After this she started working in the professional film and TV industry in Vancouver, in the production office of various MOWs and TV Series. Most recent ones being DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 4, Snowpiercer and the Detective Knight trilogy. Nadia's background is in Sales, Marketing, Business Development & Event Organizing. She has international experience in both corporate and small business as well as NGOs, where she promoted brands, products and services while organizing hundreds of events of all sizes and purposes. The perfect cocktail that led her to the current endeavor of representing talent full time through her own boutique talent agency Actum Talent Management, both in Canada and in Europe. Nadia DiMofte is also a strong believer in volunteering one's time and skills for the benefit of others, therefore she contributes to developing the local indie film community by dedicating a lot of her time to various organizations and eventually became in 2014 the Executive Director of Raindance Vancouver, a chapter of the Raindance International, London, UK, a not-for-profit organization supporting independent filmmakers since 1992 through organizing the yearly Raindance Film Festival, as well as offering ongoing courses, workshops, networking events and a Masters degree for filmmakers in partnership with Staffordshire University throughout the year at various locations in the world. Nadia enjoys supporting indie filmmakers by providing them with training and networking opportunities as well as engaging the local community and uniting it in pursuing the same goal which is promoting local talent internationally. In this role Nadia won, in 2018, the Wayne Black Service Award at the yearly Spotlight Awards event organized by Women in Film & Television Vancouver.
