Belinda Owino was born in Houston Texas, with a great passion for the performing arts. Belinda's earlier training began at the historic Houston HITS Theatre, The Texas Renaissance Festival, and other local facilities along with starring in many play productions. Belinda also has a voice for singing and took part in talent showcases, winning first place two years in a row. The journey has not always been easy as there were times that Belinda and her mom drove hundreds of miles and even slept overnight in their car many times in order to make it to auditions and acting opportunities. An optimistic vibe and holding on to an ambition has been the driving force behind Belinda's strive to succeed. Determination and motivation led to Belinda's major opportunity when she worked with Quentin Tarantino and his dream team of a cast and crew in "Django Unchained" as a house servant in Candyland Plantation and as a stunt performer in the major fight scene in 2012. Belinda also graduated from The University of Texas Austin in the Fall of 2015 with a degree in film from the Department of radio, television, and film. A few weeks after graduating college, Belinda's first speaking role in a feature film, "The Hateful Eight", opened in theaters on Christmas and New Years Day. She is also a songwriter and musician with music live on the market. Her motivational single "I'm Here To Stay" was also selected in Spike Lee's independent musician search. Her song is featured and played during the dinner scene in Episode 7 of Netflix's "She's Gotta Have It."
